I found it odd this morning that Ruthie wasn’t eating like normal. I tried oatmeal and waffles and she only ate about half of what she normally does. She took a great morning nap and when she woke, we were off to do our errands. For lunch, we ended up back at home and she didn’t eat very well then either. I chalked it up to her eating like a bird one day and a pig the next. No big deal, right? Well, then Walmart happened.
We (Celia, Ruthie and I) were happily going up and down the aisles trying to hurry to get Ruthie back for her nap when midway through aisle 12, she hurled the entire contents of her stomach. What a mess. I left Celia with her so I could find an employee to get someone to clean up the floor. Then I sent her to the car (twice b/c I forgot to give her the keys the first time) so I could have my diaper bag. I pulled her shirt off of her and put her jacket on her alone. Upon the floor being cleaned up, we found an outfit for her, went to the front of the store to pay for it, then back the rear of the store so I could find the bathrooms to change her. Not only her, the buggie cover, the frog, everything. And then we were able to continue shopping.
I didn’t know a shopping trip to Walmart would be so adventurous. I’m exhausted and don’t even want to think about finishing off the errands later this afternoon after her nap. That is if she is at all up for it.
I will be glad when this day is over.
Glad Celia was there to help….I can remember when your sister hurled in the grocery cart….only there was no one to help….I even had to clean up the floor! Guess it happens to every mom at least once.
