Gram,

The diet that we are currently doing is the Maker's Diet - the one you speak of. It is the second time that we have done it and are hoping for similar success that we had last time. It really focuses on digestive health first which is important with Joel's family background. What little we can do now may save some issues in the future.

I just read Joels' account of his trip, It must have been a good time for him. I remember the time we went to S.D. and to the zoo, and other interesting places there.
On one of the christian programs on tv, I heard of a book on dieting, written by a christian name of Jordan S. Rubin. It is a 40 day health plan and about foods in the bible.Just thought you might be interested.I am looking forward to seeing you this weekend. It been a long time.Love you

Hiya! Can you fill up on salad? Good fiber? That's what I do when I'm reducing: find a fiber rich source and chow on it. Remember when it was Frosted Mini Wheats???? :-) Those probably aren't on your diet.....

Is it getting cool enough for you just have your windows open yet? We always shut our AC off by October, cool enough or not, to cut back on the bill. We've done it here too. If you heat isn't involved, that would buy you several months to prepare for a major repair.

Get Dave Ramsey's book PLEASE. I so wished we'd read it years ago. It's like the diet is to finances...it's PLAN that makes sense and works and at it's essense, is common sense without gimmicks. Sacrifices aren't forever but have a purpose. That's a big deal when you "live like no one else so later, you can live like no one else."

Have a good one today!
